Mr. Morrow was born and brought up in Belfast. A graduate of Oxford University with a First Class Degree in Modern History and Modern Languages, Mr. Morrow went on to undertake a further two years of study at Wake Forest University in North Carolina, completing a thesis on 19th Century Cherokee History. Whilst undertaking further research on US immigration studies and identity back in Oxford, Mr. Morrow began to work as a cover teacher and quickly decided his real passion was in the classroom, sharing his enthusiasm for historical enquiry and debate. Mr. Morrow thinks this was probably the best decision he ever made and his career has included senior posts with responsibility for the curriculum, co-curriculum and pastoral care in some of the U.K.’s top private schools.
Prior to joining BIS-NY in 2015, Mr. Morrow was Headmaster at Norwich High School, a leading all through school for girls aged 3-18. Before that, he was a Deputy Head at North London Collegiate School and at Sevenoaks School, two of the most academically successful and innovative schools in the UK. Mr. Morrow has also been involved in a range of international school projects, including long term partnerships in Europe and Africa, and the establishment of a new 4-18 international school in South Korea.
One of the aspects of school leadership Mr. Morrow most values is the opportunity it presents to help each child grow in confidence and self-belief and to begin to discover what inspires them.
Michele Glazer graduated Magna Cum Laude with a B.S. in Accounting from the State University of New York at Albany.
She went on to work for Ernst & Young LLC in their audit group where she became a Certified Public Accountant. She later moved on to Dun & Bradstreet, Inc. where she traveled extensively as part of their internal audit group, leading financial and operational audits, due diligence and fraud reviews of their worldwide subsidiaries. Following the D&B divestiture in 1996, Ms. Glazer asked to set up the global internal audit function for AC Nielsen, one of the entities spun off from the D&B conglomerate.
She later joined the publishing world as a Business Manager to the President of Sales & Merchandising at Random House, Inc. and played a key role in the merger of the sales force following the acquisition of Bantam Doubleday Dell in 1998.
During the internet boom, Ms. Glazer was recruited as Director of Finance for the NY office of an internet startup that was based in San Francisco. After moving to the suburbs of Rockland County with her family in 2003, Ms. Glazer became the Chief Operating Officer of The Rockland Country Day School.
In 2008 she became the Chief Financial Officer at BIS-NY, and very much enjoys playing an integral part in the growth of the school. Ms. Glazer is responsible for the finance and operations of the school and she embraces her diverse and fast-paced role. Michele has two children who are BIS-NY graduates, and they are both currently enrolled in the IB Diploma Programme at Clinton High School in Manhattan.
In her free time Ms. Glazer enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, music, yoga, skiing, and running.
Lisa McDonald was born in Glasgow, Scotland. She holds a Law degree from the University of Aberdeen. After graduating she moved to Jersey in the Channel Islands to work in the litigation department of a local firm. However, a career in teaching was her true calling and Lisa returned to the UK temporarily to train, gaining her PGCE from the University of Cambridge in 2004.
Lisa has taught children from Nursery to Year 9 and has extensive experience teaching children with special educational needs, having also worked in schools with specialist provision for the hearing impaired and for the support of pupils with communication spectrum disorders.
Lisa joined BISNY in 2015 as Head of Early Years, having been an Advisory Teacher in the UK where she was instrumental in the implementation of the 2012 curriculum framework in Jersey. As well as teaching in all three divisions of the school she continues to lead the Early Years team and holds overall responsibility for the academic progress and pastoral care of all the children from Nursery to Year 2.
As the Deputy Head, Lisa assists the Headmaster in the day to day running of the school and has oversight of curriculum development and all aspects of staff and student well-being.

Mr. Goldstein has extensive experience of the British education system, firstly being educated King Edward VI Grammar School for Boys in Birmingham, before moving to the University of Sheffield to gain his honors degree in Music. He then moved back to study for a Post Graduate Certificate in Secondary Music Education at Birmingham City University.
He has held two posts in large English schools where he has diversified from his passion for music to also teach Maths, Physical Education and Drama in his twelve years teaching so far. He has a passion for education and in particular for providing a wide range of musical opportunities for all his students.
Mr. Goldstein is also a keen sportsman, having played field hockey in the English National League and hopes to contribute further to the school through sporting activities and trips.
As a middle years' specialist, Mr. Goldstein is passionate about his position as Assistant Head (Middle School) and is excited to build on the previous successes of the Middle Years programme and lead them onto even greater things this year.

Ms. Gibson is a passionate educator who strives to reach all students by providing instruction that is designed to help each student reach his or her full potential. Ms. Gibson employs a hands-on approach to learning and feels that children learn best when concepts and ideas are presented in a way that affects their daily lives. She does this through a variety of different media including manipulatives, news articles, books, games, thinking routines, field trips, real life experiences, and numerous other educational tools.
As a life-long learner Ms. Gibson is constantly looking to further her own knowledge. She has earned a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education from Berea College in Berea, KY. She graduated with a teaching certificate in May of 2007 after an intensive five year program that included a full year of student teaching under some of the most exceptional educators in the area. She has also completed a Master’s Degree in Leadership and an Ed.S. in Curriculum, Instruction, and Professional Development. In addition, Ms. Gibson seeks opportunities to further her understanding of child development and learning through specialized courses and conferences.
While attending college Ms. Gibson worked as an Early Years teacher at Bright Beginnings, participated in the Big Brothers/Big Sisters Program and volunteered with various children's charities in the Eastern Kentucky/Appalachian region. After earning her degree Ms. Gibson moved to the New York City area and became a private in-home teacher. During this time she designed curriculum specifically tailored to the needs of the children in her care. She has worked with children ranging from birth to age twelve for more than ten years and has a firm grasp of a child's progression through developmental stages.
Ms. Gibson enjoys the real-life application involved with the IB-PYP because it provides students with the tools they need to be life-long learners. She promotes inquiry and open-mindedness in the classroom, and encourages students to explore their own thinking and learning.

Mr. McWilliams is dedicated to the educational philosophy that all students are capable of high academic achievement through a high quality and differentiated education. He is an advocate for the development and wellbeing of the whole child.
Prior to his appointment at the British International School of NY, Mr. McWilliams served as Head of Music at a dynamic international school in Singapore. There he taught Diploma Level and Extended Level Courses to students in Grades 9-12. Prior to moving to Singapore, Mr. McWilliams served as the Head of Music of the British International School of New York where he developed and grew the choral and instrumental programs extensively throughout his tenure.
He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Music Education from the Hartt School in West Hartford, CT where he studied with leading early childhood music education researcher,, Dr. John Feierabend. He studied piano with Dr. Paul Rutman and has competed both nationally and abroad including two international tours to both France and Italy. Mr. McWilliams also holds a Masters Degree from the Bank Street College of Education in NYC in Educational Leadership and Educational Certificate from Harvard University’s progressive Project Zero Institute.
In his spare time, Mr. McWilliams enjoys running, reading, cooking new recipes, and practicing the clarinet! He is thrilled to be back at BIS-NY and couldn’t be more excited to be a part of the development of BIS-NY Upper!
